Abstract

This article explores the poetic form “Segizayaq”, which holds a significant place in Kazakh literary studies. “Segizayaq” is a poetic structure consisting of eight lines per stanza, with a combination of 5- and 7-8-syllable lines. Abay Qunanbayev introduced and perfected this form, using it to convey philosophical, critical, and didactic ideas. The paper analyzes its rhyme scheme, stanzaic structure, and artistic value. It is also noted that this poetic form has no exact equivalent in the Uzbek literary tradition.
