Abstract

The development of wearable technologies with elements of artificial intelligence (AI) opens up new opportunities for cultural institutions seeking to improve visitor experience. This article explores the potential of wireless headphones with real-time automatic speech translation for guided tours. The research focus is the State Museum of Applied Arts and History of Crafts of Uzbekistan, one of the main centers for the preservation and promotion of national artistic and craft heritage. Based on an analysis of scientific literature, observations, and practical context, the advantages and limitations of the technology are identified. It has been demonstrated that such devices can reduce language barriers, improve information accessibility, and enhance visitor satisfaction. However, issues related to translation accuracy, technical adaptation, and the perception of synthetic speech have been identified. The paper concludes with practical recommendations for implementing the technology in the museum environment.
