This article analyzes the portrayal of women and their psychology in the epic “The Birth of Gorogly”, the first epic in the Gorogly cycle, from a cultural and psychological perspective. The article examines the female characters in the epic, such as Bibi Hilol (Hiloloy), Kholjuvon, and Zaydinoy, exploring their roles, character traits, and influence on the lives of the heroes. The study demonstrates that female characters in folk oral literature are not secondary figures, but rather emerge as forces that influence the epic’s plot and serve as important factors in shaping the heroes’ development.
