The Idea of the “Perfect Man” in Abai’s Prose

Abstract

Poetry occupies a special place in Kazakh spiritual culture. It addresses the most pressing, complex, and significant issues of human and social life, thoroughly analyzing and classifying values essential for existence. In this regard, Abai’s poetry has a unique position. His language, artistic mastery, depth of content, and subtle meanings distinguish his works from other poetic creations that spread widely across the steppe. Abai depicted the mysteries of human nature so profoundly that some of his poems are still being interpreted by Abai scholars. Moreover, Akhmet Baitursynov once emphasized that it is not easy to fully grasp Abai’s works at once.
