Abstract

The article examines aspects of the ethnographic heritage of Zhagda Babalykuly related to language. From this article it is clear that Zhagda Babalykuly is a scientist who contributed to the development of the language of the Kazakh people after independence, the revival of its lost traditions and, thus, the return of Kazakh names to the language. It is shown that ethnography explained the revival in the Kazakh vocabulary of unforgettable concepts created together with culture and genes. At the same time, the fact that the ethnographic sketches themselves are provided with frames and scenarios can be explained by their interpretation.

When presenting the main ideas of Babalykuly, theoretical ones are carried out (analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, grouping, selection).

As a result of the study, the collected ethnographic heritage of the scientist was divided into several semantic groups, an appropriate analysis was carried out and conclusions were drawn. Looking at these classified semantic groups, we see that the scope of the ethnographer's ethnographic research was wide. The practical value of this article is that a dictionary can be created from words added to the vocabulary so as not to lose the vital knowledge of the Kazakh people from a linguistic point of view, and also to connect the language with the worldview of the people - this shows the great intelligence of the people.

For the study, we used a conversation between K. Begmanov and an ethnographer entitled “Ethnographpen Angime” and the thoughts expressed in it.
